the care and handling of valuable works of art in all media, exhibition
installation, exhibition design, facility preparation and maintenance,
climate control, signage, security, budget preparation, inventory, shipping
and receiving, personnel management, scheduling, technical research.
Projects include:
- comprehensive inventory of the 13,000 piece international art collection.
- consultation regarding the design and implementation of an electronic
inventory ledger.
- cataloguing of the entire collection using accession numbering system.
- reconfiguration of new and existing storage facilities requiring extensive
involvement in the design and construction of a new on-campus art storage
vault. Major considerations included
environmental/climate control and an electronic surveillance system.
